The Author
Kelvin Snaith is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and the founder of the revolutionary ‘Hands Up Therapy’ emotions management technique.
Born in Middlesbrough, U.K., Kelvin worked as a nutritional consultant and personal trainer before retraining in psychotherapy after conquering his own mental health struggles.
Following several years of work in a variety of clinical settings, including a busy Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) service in Dorset, Kelvin took a break from his practice to reflect on more than 5000 hours of therapy work with patients experiencing a range of anxiety and depression disorders.
While travelling through Asia, he discovered the benefits of spiritual and alternative practices when combined with evidence-based psychological techniques and became passionate about holistic mental health care. The result is 5000 Hours In Therapy, real-life self-help strategies that have worked for real-life clients in Kelvin’s sessions.
In his spare time, Kelvin is a keen athlete and intends to compete at the World Masters Athletics Championships in 2021.
